THE CLIMATE EQUITY TASK FORCE will address historical inequities suffered by people of color, allowing everyone to fairly share the same benefits and burdens from climate solutions and attain full and equal access to opportunities regardless of one’s background with accountability measures:
•Address Systemic Inequities:
Prioritized investments in infrastructure for prioritized communities •Follow the Money How are funding opportunities are being utilized in the prioritized communities they were meant to serve and benefit? •Bake Equity into Policies We want our city to take the recommendations and solutions developed by the Climate Equity Work group and adopt as policy. •Build Community Accountability (Community Resilience Initiative) Contribute to a database of funding resources for local implementation projects for Community Resiliency |
