When I Am Green engages a community, we never come empty handed. It is important when creating authentic partnerships in community, you aren’t constantly extracting community data, talent, and genius leaving nothing sustainable behind in the form of education, connections, and access to real resources.
What can you expect when I Am Green is hosting? A mix of eco-activism, engagement, and education with fun filled activities that ALWAYS include a meal, an exchange of ideas, perspectives, and a hell of a lot of environmental education. Our community deserves a safe space to unwind as much as we deserve an education that will help us change the trajectory of our future for the better. MLK DAY OF SERVICE
We did a thing! Well, we did some things! WE came together used materials that others have discarded and made the ECO-Village at the The Grove in Freedom Village a GREEN HOUSE! We laughed, we shared stories, we ate good food, and we bonded! Community Building isn't all about structures, but, PEOPLE and relationships. Young and old, skilled and unskilled, we showed up for ourselves and our community! This is the ECO-lab, where we can come figure it out, make mistakes, course correct, and grow! We can grow as individuals and as a collective. We are so grateful we are given the opportunity to develop a safe space where we can reconnect back to the Planet and Each Other! Join us in April so we can do it all over again, and do it even better! It just keeps getting better!

I Am Green Go! Free EV Car Share has launched! California Clean Air Day this year with I Am Green was a whole vibe! We gathered to talk about the importance for Environmental Justice communities to be made aware of the environmental harms that cause toxic outcomes that lead to health issues, educational impairments, and oft-times, untimely death.
How do we make the change? We make the change…
The Community:
This community will now enjoy the wonders of driving an electric vehicle; they can use it to run errands, go to the doctors, the beach, or to visit family and friends. The best way to get the community in electric vehicles, is to get the community in electric vehicles (.)

- Enjoyed a fabulous lunch provided by Chimichurri,
- Received various gift cards and gifts provided by Bayview CDC!
