Electric Vehicle Education 

Our approach to EV education is rooted in robustness. We meet the community where they are, spark curiosity, and build real understanding through experience. From EV tailgates and test drives to workshops, pop-ups, and Sip & Paints, we’ve made clean transportation both accessible and engaging. Our pilot with Bayview CDC’s 40th Street Apartments was a powerful partnership that allowed us to listen, learn, and lead together. The insights gained will be shared in our EV Car Share Pilot Case Study, set to be published in Fall 2025—a testament to what’s possible when education is hands-on, joyful, and community-driven.

RESILIENT 

The Plot Twist & Produce Club

In Hancock County’s food desert, the Crop Swap Book Club is a grassroots response to overpriced, poor-quality food and limited healthy options. It’s a space where neighbors exchange fresh produce and homegrown goods while diving into books that feed the mind. Together, we’re reclaiming health, community, and food sovereignty—one swap, one story at a time.

10 Pathways to Eco-Stewardship was born from the reality that many in our community are struggling, emotionally, spiritually, socially, and economically. These pathways are designed to meet people where they are and remind us that no matter which direction we choose, whether it’s health, housing, justice, the arts, education, or recovery, the environment is part of the journey. Eco-Stewardship helps us see that social justice is environmental justice. Healing the land and healing ourselves are deeply connected. Our hope is to connect community members in each pathway to a resource that will help them meet their personal goals and win in life. Because whether you enter through science, service, storytelling, or survival, nature is always there to guide us back to wholeness.

REGENERATIVE 

We’re farmers, yo! Not just in title, but in spirit, in rhythm, in relationship. We’re out here learning to listen to the land, not just work it. We’re asking the questions our ancestors once knew by heart. Who used water hoses when there were none? How did they farm without machines, without running water, without apps to tell them when to plant or harvest? They listened. And now, so do we.
We’re going back to go forward—that’s Sankofa. Every row we till, every mistake we make, every seed we plant is part of our alignment. We’re not chasing perfection, we’re chasing connection. And out here, there are no losses, only lessons. Only laughter. Only land that remembers us—if we slow down enough to remember her too.

The Freedom Experience

Camp & Learns: The Freedom Experience is where we return to the land, and to ourselves. Hosted in partnership with The Grove in Freedom Village, Freedom Nation, and I Am Green, this immersive experience brings people together to learn hands-on practices that lead to sovereignty—regenerative farming, foraging, Zero Energy Earth Building, turning waste into useful tools, animal husbandry, survival skills, and most importantly, community care.
But this is about more than skill-building. It’s about redefining the word “self”. Not as isolated or self-centered, but as a collective self—interconnected, interdependent, and accountable to one another. We come together, we build the village, and we build each other. We learn, we laugh, we love, and sometimes we disagree—but we leave better, stronger, and more rooted than we came.
